Speaking of Twilight parodies, you should check out this hilarious spoof of New Moon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cbm8zifAtg

The Edward and Jacob are so spot on. Really hot, too, actually. Haha.

I read the first book a few years ago now, when I was still a teenager, and I got my mum to read it too, knowing she would love it. It has been so nice having someone to giggle with over the years, and trash-talk the films with me whilst secretly loving them. It has brought us much closer as mother and daughter. She has also said to be all of these things, that it makes her feel like a teenager again and meeting my dad for the first time when they were 16, and their long relationship has improved lately too, although that may not be because of Twilight.

I have read all four books and have seen the first movie and can't wait to see the second one. I think Edward and Bell's relationship is and reminder for a lot of people because it teaches you a lot about love. I really understand my love for my boyfriend after seeing the movie and reading the books. It also teaches you to have confidince in yourself and to not be afraid of excperincing new things. Try and you may feel the same way.

New Moon is actually based on the 2nd (not 4th) book of the series.

Twilight
New Moon
Eclipse
Breaking Dawn

There are a few other manuscripts out there that Stephanie Meyer worked on that could technically be considered part of the series, but none are published.

As for the rest of it....i really don't have much of an opinion. I've clearly read them all, but in no way praise Meyer's meager writing or subject matter.

However, of course some women love them. It's the idealistic love story that so many dream of. A normal girl just happens to meet the most beautiful man she's ever seen. He, of course, falls desperately in love with her feeble self and not only wants her more than his own life, but he will do anything to protect her. Realistic? I think not.
