Dream Interpretation: My Wife Is Offered Milk in a Bowl

Advice, Dream Interpretation

Other people’s dreams are never interesting…except when they’re about sex. Each week, our dream analyst Lauri Loewenberg tells one lucky reader what their dirty dream means. Got a dream you want Lauri to analyze? Click here to submit it) This week, a reader asks Lauri:

In my dream, my wife is offered milk in a bowl of clay by an elderly woman.

Lauri: I like the imagery in this dream! It is very biblical. In addition, I believe this little dream has a lot to say. My first thought is that this may have to do with pregnancy, because of the milk. Are you and she trying to or talking about having children? The gift of milk to your wife in this dream may be a reference to motherhood being a gift and with that gift comes maternal instincts, personality traits, DNA, etc. that is passed on from generation to generation.

I think that is where the elderly woman comes in. But I think she may also hold another meaning: time and age, which unfortunately is a factor when having children is concerned. Your dream may be urging you to do this before it becomes too difficult. And that clay bowl, well, that is a natural substance and your dream may be using it to remind you of the natural, earthy process of pregnancy and birth… in case you were having doubts, your dream is reminding you that it’s the most natural thing in the world!

If having children is not on your minds at all, then this dream may be connected to an opportunity your wife has recently been offered. If that is the case, it seems that through this dream you feel this opportunity will benefit and nourish her in some way, intellectually or perhaps financially.

  1. Michael Says:

Look at the dream much like your own wisdom interpreting it for your memory to know what to do best with. Offered or served? It depends on if the milk could have been looked at like it could have been a service, it could have been just an offering. It could have been looked at as such or even portrayed to be. How the milk was given is the wisdom looked at and embraced. You want to give your own bowl of milk the way you should as the man you are. The choices in which got you there are seen through which is given.
