I had a dream I chopped off my testicles, but not my penis, then eventually managed to re-attach them, with the help of my whole family! But it also involved millions of tiny black balls leaking from the open wound.

One of the most important rules to remember when figuring out your dreams is to see if you can find a pun or figure of speech in your dream; if you can find it, then you’ve found a good portion of the message.
We often say, “Someone chopped his balls off” when referring to a man who has been emasculated or weakened in some way. In your dream YOU were the one who put your own balls on the chopping block. This suggests you allowed yourself to be subservient or chose to be more passive, sensitive, or nurturing in some way. Did you get into a relationship where your partner called all the shots? Or was there something going on at your job or some other area of your life where you needed to “grow a pair” and take a stand — but chose not to?
The open wound, I believe, may be connected to an emotional wound in waking life… and part of your healing process must involve releasing or letting go of lots of little irritants, which may be what all the little black balls are. The fact that your family helped you re-attach your fellas is a good indication that they must have encouraged you to “man up” and assert yourself once and for all.
