My other half had a dream about a girl who broke my heart. She goes into my girlfriend’s shop every day, and the way that they talk I would say is “flirty banter.” She then felt the need to tell me that in the dream, this girl came into her bedroom and stripped off, but she ignored her advances. Is this simply her conscience, or that she really wants her? I’ve been cheated on in the past so this is secretly ripping me apart.
Lauri: Awww. I truly feel for you. I have to tell you, however, that I think the fact that she shared this dream with you is a good sign! It seems to me that if your girlfriend had feelings for this other woman, then she would likely keep her dreams about her to herself.
The girl who broke your heart probably stripped in the dream because your girlfriend knows more about her than the girl who broke your heart thinks. Ignoring her advances suggests your girlfriend knows good and well what the deal is and probably is not interested.
If this woman is a regular patron of her store, she has to be pleasant and interact with her, right? Stripping in a dream can also be connected to honesty in waking life. All I have to work with here is your girlfriend’s dream, but I think she’s being honest with you. And speaking of honesty, it is always the best policy in meaningful relationships.
