I Dreamt My Husband Went Missing & Got in a Fight

Other people’s dreams are never interesting…except when they’re about sex. If you’ve got a good one, our dream analyst Lauri Loewenberg just might tell you what it means! Click here to submit yours (18 and older only for dream interpretations, please). This week, a reader asks Lauri:

I had a dream my husband was missing for a few hours and I knew something was wrong so, I went looking for him to find two lines of men facing each other and beating each other to a pulp, with my husband in the mix. In order to rescue him I told what appeared to be a local gang that I’d called the police and, after saying that, everyone disbursed. I knew my husband had internal injuries and headed to the hospital, then I awoke.

Lauri:  When someone is missing in a dream it is often because we miss them or we miss something about them in real life. Is your husband not around a lot due to work and or travel? Or is there some quality of his that you miss and doesn’t seem to be around anymore?

You sensed something was wrong in the dream, which is a very good indication something is “amiss” is waking life. You find him in a line of men facing each other and fighting. Is there a certain reality he has had to “face” recently? And if so, is he beating himself up for it? The internal injuries he suffered in the dream are most likely emotional wounds in real life that he is keeping to himself and not opening up about.

At the end of the dream you are taking him to the hospital. That is a good indication that you are handling this in the right way in real life be offering him help in some way. I think your dream is showing you he is on the road to healing.
